Director's Message

Welcome to the Bangladesh Institute of Forensic Psychology & Sciences (BIFPS Consultancy Ltd./ForensicBD™)—Bangladesh's first forensic-based private company, where science, psychology, and behavioural intelligence come together to uncover the truth and support better decision-making.

I am Md Meraz Hossain, Founder and Managing Director of BIFPS. My professional journey has been driven by one fundamental belief: understanding human behaviour is the key to justice, effective leadership, organisational excellence, and informed decision-making.

I am currently pursuing a PhD in Forensic Psychology at the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU), India, where my research focuses on deception detection, investigative interviewing, and behavioural analysis through head and eye movement patterns. I also hold a Master of Science in Clinical and Counselling Psychology from Jagannath University, Bangladesh, and have completed advanced professional training in psychotherapy, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), forensic document examination, graphology, addiction counselling, and behavioural sciences.

Throughout my career, I have worked with professionals from diverse sectors, including law enforcement agencies, intelligence organisations, military personnel, government institutions, universities, banks, financial institutions, corporate organisations, psychologists, lawyers, HR professionals, entrepreneurs, and business leaders. These experiences have reinforced one important lesson: regardless of the profession, success depends on understanding people.

Why I Established BIFPS

When I began working in psychology and forensic sciences, I realised that Bangladesh lacked a specialised private institution capable of integrating forensic psychology, behavioural science, private investigation, forensic consultation, professional training, and modern forensic technology under one roof.

This inspired me to establish the Bangladesh Institute of Forensic Psychology & Sciences (BIFPS) on 5 December 2020.

BIFPS was created not merely as another training institute or consultancy firm, but as a professional organisation dedicated to applying scientific knowledge to real-world challenges. Our goal is to help investigators uncover the truth, organisations understand people, businesses make better decisions, and individuals benefit from evidence-based psychological services.

Today, BIFPS is proudly registered under the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) (Registration No. C-197251). Our forensic reports and certificates are digitally authenticated, securely verified, and preserved through the Controller of Certifying Authorities (CCA), ICT Division, Government of Bangladesh, ensuring professional credibility, transparency, and digital integrity.

What We Do

At BIFPS, we combine forensic science, forensic psychology, behavioural intelligence, and technology to provide specialised services that are rarely available together within a single private organisation in Bangladesh.

Our core services include forensic handwriting and signature examination, fingerprint verification, private investigation, behavioural intelligence, suspect profiling, corporate behavioural analysis, polygraph examination, advanced interrogation support, cyber security, digital forensics, counselling, psychological assessment, and evidence-based behavioural consultation.

Alongside professional services, we deliver specialised training programmes for Bangladesh Police, military personnel, intelligence agencies, government organisations, universities, corporate organisations, banks, financial institutions, HR professionals, psychologists, legal professionals, and business leaders.

Through BIFPS, we are working toward establishing advanced forensic laboratories, expanding digital forensic capabilities, developing internationally recognised professional training programmes, and ultimately contributing to the establishment of Bangladesh's first dedicated Forensic Sciences University.
